FOLLOWING Clare’s nail-biting win in the All-Ireland Hurling Championship final this past Sunday, Shannon Chamber of Commerce has praised Brian Lohan’s leadership of the victorious team.

Mr Lohan is a former director of Shannon Chamber, with president of the Chamber, Eoin Gavin, calling his leadership “simply amazing”.

“Brian’s understated presence is a force to be reckoned with. He is a real team leader, has earned the respect of all his players, who, as stated by captain Tony Kelly, would do anything for him. That’s the trait of a truly inspirational leader,” Mr Gavin said.

The Chamber president said that the Clare team “pushed themselves to their absolute limits to bring the Liam McCarthy Cup back to County Clare and we in Shannon Chamber, the board, executive, and our 350+ member companies are so proud of their great achievement.”

The Chamber president continued, saying that bringing the Liam McCarthy Cup back to Clare was sure to be inspirational to people all over the county.

“It was an inspirational demonstration of pure determination to succeed and to battle through to the final whistle. It was a stand-out game. What a great team Cork were as opponents, but we are glad to be welcoming the champions back to Clare,” Mr Gavin concluded.
