Treaty fancied to account for Kilbarrack in FAI Senior cup fixture

TREATY United are fancied to account for Dublin’s Kilbarrack United in the second round of the FAI Senior Cup at the Markets Field on Friday night (kick-off 7.45pm).

Pike Rovers also have a serious chance of progress when Robbie Williams’ side entertain Midleton of Cork the following afternoon (2pm).

In the Women’s Premier Division, Treaty were quality 2-0 away winners over DLR Waves in Dublin at the weekend.

Both goals arrived in the opening half, courtesy of Delana Friesen and Danielle Steer.

Next up for Domnic Foley’s side is a home tie with Wexford FC at the Markets Field on Saturday week, July 27.

Meanwhile, Limerick District League has elected its officers for the 2024/25 season, which begins in mid-August.

Officers: Chairperson Ger Smyth; Vice-Chairperson Joe Pond (new member); Honorary Secretary Turlough McNamara; Fixture Secretary Mike O’Regan; Registrar Noel Hanley; Treasurer Christy O’Dwye; and Child Protection Officer Liam Collopy.

In addition, the committee comprises of Ailbe Coffey, John Kennedy, Karen O’Callaghan, Paddy Collins, and Robbie Broe.
