THE O’Donnell Family of Herbertstown have enjoyed a lovely win at Fairyhouse.

Sylvia O’Donnell rode just her second winner when partnering the seven-year-old Extensio to take the 14-furlong rated race at the county Meath venue.

Owned by her mother Úna and trained by her father Pat, the 7/2 chance came from a little off the pace to lead at the furlong pole and he had a little in hand in beating the Johnny Murtagh-trained 10/11 favourite Sixpack.

The winning jockey landed her first success on the same horse in the 2022 Ladies’ Derby at the Curragh.

Dad Pat famously saddled Chance Coffey under Gerry O’Neill to land the Coral Cup back at Cheltenham in 1995.
