THE 24th annual Tour de Munster was launched on June 24 and saw amateur cyclists gearing up to take on the 600km cross-county route to raise vital funds for Down Syndrome Ireland (DSI).

Since its inception, the annual cycle has raised a spoke-tacular €5million for DSI.

Welcoming the return of the event, DSI CEO Nichola Alyward said that the cycle “has built an extraordinary community, and every single one of (those donating and taking part) has played a role in making it a success”.

This year’s cycle will run from August 8 to 11.
