TWO local Limerick organisations were announced as national finalists in the National Lottery Good Causes Awards 2024.

Foynes Flying Boat and Maritime Museum, a charitable institution dedicated to the pioneering days of aviation, and Blue Box Creative Learning Centre, an organisation helping young people deal with difficult feelings and emotional trauma, were announced as finalists in the yearly competition run by the National Lottery, receiving €1,000 each for the accomplishment.

The winners of this year’s competition will be announced at a ceremony held in October at Killashee House Hotel, County Kildare, where winners across seven categories will receive €10,000, while the overall winner takes home an additional €25,000.
