Aldi celebrates almost €3million boost to Limerick’s economy

ALDI Ireland was celebrating its local connections when it confirmed that is has contributed to the Limerick economy by almost €3million in wages this year alone for employees across its three local supermarkets.

The German retailer also said it spent €7million on sourcing food and drinks from Limerick suppliers and producers.

In addition to its contribution to the local coffers, the retailer explained it is also supporting a number of charities across the Treaty, providing 62,000 meals through FoodCloud to local Limerick charities alone, and supporting local groups like Limerick Treaty Suicide Prevention and Milford Care Centre.
