GARDAÍ in Limerick made a significant drugs seizure this past week after stopping and searching a man in the city centre.
As part of ongoing investigations into the sale and supply of controlled drugs in Limerick City centre, Garda members attached to the Community Policing division in Henry Street Garda Station were on foot patrol in the city centre when they made the discovery.
On stopping and searching the man, the Gardaí found a large quantity of suspected heroin and crack cocaine in his possession.
The suspected drugs were seized by Gardaí and sent for analysis, the results of which will determine any future course of the investigation, a post on the Limerick Gardaí’s official social media channels confirmed.
