AHEAD of a massive six-week break, there is action in round two of the Limerick Senior Football Championship this weekend.
The pick of the fixtures is the meeting of unbeaten pair Newcastle West and Kildimo-Pallaskenry at Seán Finn Park, Rathkeale tonight (Thursday).
In the opening round, veteran Mike McMahon goaled for holders NCW in their 1-12 to 1-9 defeat of Fr Casey’s, while KP edged past neighbours Ballysteen 1-13 to 3-6.
In the latter, county pair Peter Nash and Cathal Downes kicked five points apiece for the winners.
Elsewhere, Adare and Mungret-St Paul’s (who picked-up earlier points against Monaleen and Na Piarasigh, respectively), meet in Askeaton.
Both matches throw-in at 7.30pm.
