This Friday, July 5, the city’s top artists will unite at Pharmacia for a night of solidarity and support, aiming to raise crucial funds for the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS), which provides vital humanitarian aid and medical services in Gaza.
The evening will begin with performances by Meadhbh Hayes, a talented singer-songwriter and fiddle player from West Cork now based in Limerick, and Evasia, a Greek singer-songwriter and actress whose music is deeply influenced by her ethnomusicology studies and commitment to social justice.
Post Punk Podge and the Technohippies: Known for their eclectic mix of punk, electronic, and traditional Irish music, they deliver an electrifying performance that challenges social norms and champions causes for justice.
T.A. Narrative: This dynamic duo, Tara and Anna, blends electronic beats and live instruments, creating immersive soundscapes that captivates. Their music often explores themes of identity and the human experience, with their recent single, Caught Out, being an absolute banger.
The PVP: Limerick trio The Personal Vanity Project, featuring members of Bleeding Heart Pigeons, His Father’s Voice, and Cruiser, have recently completed a tour celebrating their debut album. Influenced by Suicide, Stereolab, Sonic Youth, and shoegaze, the album was produced by Chris Ryan and mastered by Bob Weston.
Jack Brolly: DJ, promoter, and festival organiser, Jack Brolly runs events under the name Lower Your Expectations and contributes to the teams of Open Ear Festival and Féile Na Gréine. His sets are as eclectic and diverse as the acts he promotes.
