WORKS on the Active Travel infrastructure from Raheen to Quinn’s Cross is to begin soon, according to Limerick City and County Council.
The works will provide approximately 980 meters of dedicated pedestrian and cycle infrastructure from the Quinn’s Cross Roundabout to the Raheen Roundabout.
The route also includes Safe Routes to School infrastructure being provided at the front of St Nessan’s National School.
Construction will get underway this month and will take around nine months to complete.
Senior engineer with the Active Travel team, Sean McGlynn, said that “the Active Travel network on the west side of the city is really coming together.
“This project will link with the Father Russell Road project in Raheen which is now almost completed”.
