Limerick advance in Ladies Football Championship

LIMERICK are through to the semi-final of the TG4 All-Ireland Junior Ladies Football Championship following Sundayโ€™s runaway (6-15 to 0-6) victory over Kilkenny at Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale.

It earns last seasonโ€™s runners-up a tilt with Fermanagh the weekend after next.

The big scores came from Monagea trio Deborah Murphy, Karen Oโ€™Leary and Grace Mullane, along with Cathy Mee (Ballylanders), captain Rรณisรญn Ambrose (Old Mill) and Kate Kennedy, St. Ailbeโ€™s.

Limeirck are joinlty managed by Seรกn Kiely and Mike Quilligan.

Meanwhile, Limerick preserved their senior status in camogie with a concluding round 2-17 to 3-12 win over Antrim at the same venue earlier in the weekend.

Caoimhe Costello (0-9) of Adare and Monaleenโ€™s Caoimhe Lyons (2-2) helped Limerickโ€™s cause no end.
