TODAY (June 25) is the final day for Limerick musicians to send in their applications to Music Network’s Music Capital Scheme, giving them the chance of owning a brand new instrument.

A €1.9 million program to buy instruments was announced by Catherine Martin TD, Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport, and Media.

Limerick School of Music and Northside Family Resource Centre have both received funding in the past for their efforts in the scheme.

The closing date for applications for award categories is today (June 25) at 2pm.

Different awards are available to non-professional performing groups, the benefit of individual established professional performing musicians, individual emerging professional performing musicians, and even concert venues.
