GARDAÍ are appealing for witnesses after a beauty salon on a busy Limerick City street was robbed at knifepoint.

Staff members working at a beauty salon were left shocked and frightened after an armed robber made threats and held them at knifepoint before making a swift escape.

According to a statement from An Garda Síochána, the beauty salon, located on Wickham Street in Limerick City, was robbed by a thief wielding a knife earlier this month on June 8.

Gardaí are investigating the terrifying incident, which occurred in broad daylight, and have issued a public appeal for information which may lead to an arrest.

“At approximately 10.55am on Saturday, 8th June 2024, a male armed with a knife entered the premises of a beauty parlor and made threats to members of staff,” the Garda statement read.
