GARDAÍ in Limerick are appealing to dog owners to keep them at home or under control when they are out.

This follows a number of recent reports of dogs attacking humans and other animals.

A report was filed with Limerick Gardaí of dogs attacking and frightening a foal on the Ballysimon Road on Thursday, 13 June.

Two days later, on Saturday 15 June, Gardaí heard that dogs entered a farmyard in Newcastle West and frightened calves.

Gardaí say “keep your dogs within your property and, if they are out, make sure that they are under your control.
