Limerick student wins Junior Chef Ireland competition

AILEY Lyons from Coláiste Íde agus Iosef in Abbeyfeale has been announced as the winner of the Limerick Central Rotary Club’s annual Junior Chef Ireland Competition in conjunction with TUS Mid West, and Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board (LCETB).

Entries came from all over Ireland, with five students chosen to compete in the final, which took place in the kitchens of the TUS Moylish Campus.

The competition, open to all students in full-time secondary school education, was sponsored by the Limerick Central Rotary Club, LCETB, and TUS.

The perpetual trophy was sponsored by Mr Luke Nolan of KBR Foodservice Equipment.
