Amber is a feel-good colour for Limerick’s Villiers School

Villiers pupils celebrate the feel-good achievement.

VILLIERS School has been awarded the Pieta Amber Flag for 2023-2024. The initiative recognises the individual efforts to create healthy, inclusive environments that support the mental wellbeing of schools in Ireland.

As part of this award, the Amber Flag committee, led by teachers Aislinn Dillon, Jess Warde, and Emma Rea, organised monthly ‘Feel Good Friday’ events in school and a Wellness Week held in early April.

The week focused on promoting movement and positivity, and included yoga, mindfulness activities, and a pancake morning in aid of Pieta. Transition year leadership and social and health students also led wellbeing sessions with junior cycle classes during this week.
