GARDAÍ have urged caution to carrying expensive personal items while travelling on public transport after a young Limerick woman had belongings to the tune of €5,000 stolen while on the bus from Dublin to Abbeyfeale.
According to Henry Street Gardaí, the young woman in her mid 20s was travelling on the 8.15pm bus from Dublin to Abbeyfeale on May 10 when her suitcase, containing an Apple laptop and other personal items worth over €5,000, was stolen from the luggage compartment.
“If your luggage is too big to fit in the bus and must go in the luggage compartment, make sure that you do not have any valuable items in the suitcase,” Gardaí warned.
