COLM Lyons of famed Nemo Rangers, Cork will referee Sunday’s Munster Senior Hurling Championship Final between Limerick and Clare at Semple Stadium, Thurles (4pm).
He is well-known to both teams, having refereed the round robin fixtures between the counties for the past three seasons.
This will be his second Munster Senior Final to officiate as he was also in charge when Limerick beat Waterford in 2020.
Lyons’ most high-profile assignment was the 2022 All-Ireland Final between Limerick and Kilkenny.
His inter-county career commenced in 2011.
Lyons’ day job is Principal of Crosshaven Boys National School.
