MUNSTER’S URC win over Ulster came at a serious injury cost.

The holders will be without Tom Aherne (ankle/lower leg), Joey Carbery (thumb) and Rory Scannell (ankle) for the visit of Ospreys in the quarter-final at Thomond Park on Friday, 7.35pm.

Scannell is due to undergo surgery next week.

There is good news, however, on the injury front for Diarmuid Barron (foot), Josh Wycherley (face) and Antoine Frisch (leg/groin) as this trio have returned to training.

Continuing to rehab: Dave Kilcoyne (shoulder), Roman Salanoa (knee), Jean Kleyn (knee/eye), Paddy Patterson (knee), Patrick Campbell (shoulder), Alex Nankivell (ankle).
