A FREEPHONE number has been opened by Limerick City and County Council for voting members of the public, particularly those with visual impairments, interested in learning more about the candidates who will be seeking the public vote on the upcoming local elections and inaugural directly-elected mayoral ballots.
According to Limerick City and County Council, the new line, which is open now and free for anyone to call, sets out the names of each candidate in the order that they will appear on the June 7 ballots.
Candidates in the European elections, held on the same day, are not included in the line.
The freephone number is 1800 83 20 73 and will be available 24/7 until the close of polls at 10pm on Friday June 7.
