GARDAÍ are investigating after an alleged incident of criminal damage by fire at a property outside a Limerick town.
A statement was issued by An Garda Síochána this past Saturday morning (June 1) appealing for witnesses following “a criminal damage incident by fire at a property in Wolfeburgges outside Rathkeale, County Limerick, on 31st, May 2024”.
A Garda spokesman said that local forces and fire services attended the scene at around 8.45pm on Friday night last (May 31).
Extensive damage was caused to the property and the scene was preserved overnight and visited for inspection by the Divisional Scenes of Crime earlier on Saturday morning.
According to Gardaí, no arrests into the alleged criminal incident have yet been made.
Investigating officers in Rathkeale are appealing to any witnesses or anyone with information regarding the fire to come forward.
