Limerick women mean business

THEY’RE women who mean business and they emerged as shining stars as the winners of the Network Ireland Limerick Businesswoman of the Year Awards.

The highly lauded winners were announced at a special summer soirée at The Clayton Hotel.

Winners on the night included Annmarie Nagle (Emerging Businesswoman Award), Denise O’Brien (Solo Businesswoman Award), and Orla Canney of HILT (Employee Shining Star Award).

The Creative Professional award went to artist Rachel Leahy.

Other winners included Karen Ronan of the Shannon Region Sports and Conference Bureau (Networker of The Year), with the Established Businesswomen of the Year Award going to Sinead English of HILT.

The winners of each category will go on to the national finals for Network Ireland which will be announced at a black-tie gala ceremony in Lyrath Estate, Kilkenny.

Last year 2023, one Limerick businesswoman, Sinead O’Brien, of Sinead’s Curvy Style, went on to win an award at the national finals.

The 43 local finalists, representing a broad range of businesses, were joined by their family, friends, and fellow members at the glamorous Clayton Hotel awards ceremony which kicked off with a prosecco reception.

Speaking at the ceremony Network Ireland Limerick president Fiona Doyle said that the organisation “is all about encouraging each other to be the best we can be. The strength and success of our awards nominees is based on our commitment to working together to develop our businesses.”

“Our awards provide a fantastic opportunity to recognise our member’s achievements, ambition, and professionalism.”
