12 LIMERICK projects will benefit from the Limerick Enterprise Development Partnership (LEDP) annual Impact Fund.
The fund, worth over €150,000, sees charities in some of Limerick’s most disadvantaged areas receive funding for their work in helping children and young people from a diverse range of backgrounds reach their full potential.
Projects selected to receive funding include Doras, Corpus Christi National School, Bedford Row Family Project, Our Lady of Lourdes Early Years Service, Our Lady Queen of Peace School, Saoirse Addiction Treatment Centre, Southill Afterschools Club, Dóchas Midwest Autism Support, jumpAgrade, and Engage in Education.
As well as this, LEDP will continue its longstanding partnership with the University of Limerick in supporting its AccessCampus homework support project at the LEDP base in Roxboro.
Niall O’Callaghan, LEDP CEO said that “as an organisation leading the agenda for social advancement in Limerick, LEDP is proud to make a significant impact in across Limerick working with our partners.”
“We’re focused on empowering people to be the change they want to see in their community,” Mr O’Callaghan said.
LEDP chair John Gilmartin added that the “Impact Fund symbolises the essence of what LEDP is about; using our model to support Limerick’s most disadvantaged communities by enabling people fulfil their potential”.
“We’ve been doing this for 25 years and we look forward to working in partnership with broad spectrum of organisations benefiting from the fund and seeing the impact in our community in the coming months and years,” the LEDP chair concluded.
