A “CONSIDERABLE amount of cash” was stolen from one worker on the Childers Road in recent weeks, according to local Gardaí.
Sergeant Ber Leetch explained that a 30-year-old man stowed a rucksack containing a “considerable amount of cash” in a shed when going to work and later returned to find “over half the cash amount” gone.
Elsewhere, a cash sum was stolen from the jacket pocket of a sleeping woman in her 60s while she was receiving treatment at University Hospital Limerick.
“Keep your cash, bankcards, and phone on your person at all times,” Sergeant Leetch warned, “criminals are everywhere and always looking for a chance to steal from us”.
