A LIMERICK teacher was honoured with an award acknowledging the impact she has on her students’ lives.
Jill Farrell, a teacher at St Nessan’s National School, was nominated for the Teachers Inspire award by Justyna Brzezicka, mother of Aimee, a past student of Jill’s.
Ms Farrell organised yoga for her students, as well as arranging for fitness coach Joe Wicks to visit their school.
Ms Brzezicka was so inspired by Jill that she decided to return to college to qualify as a Special Needs Assistant.
Organised by Dublin City University, the Teachers Inspire awards aim to celebrate teachers across the country.
