THE University of Limerick (UL) has been ranked among the world’s top 75 young universities.
Times Higher Education ranked UL at number 72 in the world’s top 75, an improvement on last year’s ranking which saw UL placed in the 151-200 bracket.
In a separate report by the Centre for World University Rankings, UL was ranked in the top 4.5 per cent of universities worldwide.
UL provost and deputy president Prof Shane Kilcommins said that “these rankings reflect our focus on research, the student learning environment, and doctoral education.
“We encourage a resilient and innovative learning environment based on a foundation of strong academic disciplines. We want to make a difference in the world and for our students and researchers to be socially engaged citizens.”
