“I enjoy working as a member of a multidisciplinary team and I love the variety of projects and challenges in this sector.”
Brian’s role is a mix of clinical work and managing projects.
“Clinically, I am the assigned psychologist to support 70 adults. I am also the line manager of our psychology, speech and language, occupational therapy and physiotherapy departments in our adult services.
“I also lead projects such as securing funding for adults with intellectual disabilities to attend third-level education, and funding to build new day service premises. I am also the FOI Decision Maker for our region.”
Brian continues: “For any psychology graduate, I would highly recommend joining a multidisciplinary team in the field of intellectual disability.”
