UNIVERSITY of Limerick (UL) journalism student Molly Cantwell was named best newcomer at the recent Student Publication Association National Awards.
The awards, held in Bristol earlier in April, celebrate the best in student journalism.
She was presented the Rising Star (Best Newcomer) award as well as being given an honorary lifetime membership of the association in recognition of her work with the Limerick Voice UL student publication in the wake of the passing of her close friend Joe Drennan, who was tragically killed in a road crash in October last year.
