SINN Féin candidate for the upcoming local elections, Ursula Gavan, has hit out that Limerick City and County Council’s plans for a Park and Ride at Lisnagry have gotten off track before they even started, due to the lack of rail infrastructure to help bolster transportation options.
“I firmly believe that the Park and Ride would be best situated along the rail line so commuters can avail of bus and rail options to travel into the city or further afield,” the City East election hopeful said.
“This could also serve as a public transport link to the Annacotty Business Park, which does not currently have a bus or rail link.”
