HOLDERS Munster earned a home URC quarter-final courtesy of a nail-biting 29-26 win over Edinburgh at a thronged Hive Stadium.

The win represented a superb eighth league victory on the trot for Graham Rowntree’s side.

Two first half tries for Antoine Frisch still left the province trailing 16-12 at half time, before Jack Crowley and Gavin Coombes also crossed for five-pointers after the break.

Crowley finished the night with a remarkable 14 points, adding three conversions and the match-winning penalty (70 minutes) in a Player of the Match display.

The last eight fixture is listed for June 7/8 at Thomond Park.
