AN OPEN call has gone out for those interested in visiting the Doon Social Farm community café, held each Friday from 10am to 2pm.
Based at the former Old Mercy Convent in Doon, the Social Farm aims to provide a place for those who are socially isolated or lonely to take part in nature-based fun in a friendly environment.
The project is home to a small organic farm that supplies local shops and markets in Limerick.
A community café is held each Friday with local crafts, foods, and art, open to visitors to come along and socialise.
