INDEPENDENT local election candidate for City North Pat O’Neill has called on the council to bring forward plans for a playground in Caherdavin.
“I’m hearing it on the doorsteps, so action is now required and not just words from the council.
“The issue with the playground has been ongoing now for years as I recall bringing it to their attention as far back as 2020 and we even then indicated a potential location on the grounds of the Caherdavin community centre,” Mr O’Neill commented.
“Since then the council have muted other locations but still nothing concrete has been brought forward.
“We’re asking now that the council bring forward plans and meet with the people so that concerns can be addressed.”
