Opinions sought on plans for increased bus service linking Limerick and Clare

A 24 hour bus service linking Limerick with Shannon Airport could be on the cards.

THE National Transport Authority (NTA) has opened a public consultation on plans for significantly enhanced bus services between Limerick and Clare.

The NTA, in partnership with Bus Éireann and TFI Local Link Limerick Clare, proposed to improve bus transport between Limerick, Shannon, Ennis, and their hinterlands.

The planned improvements will include a new 24-hour bus route between Limerick and Shannon Airport.

The new 343 bus route, according to the NTA, will run every 20 minutes at peak times on weekdays and every 30 minutes at all other times and on weekends.

A 317 route will serve the Jetland Shopping Centre to Ennis, via Cratloe, Sixmilebridge, Kilmurry, and Quin.
