LIMERICK City and County Council says it has been exploring options in relation to the redevelopment of the former Bank of Ireland in Bruff.
Councillors Michael Donegan (FF) and Brigid Teefy (IND) were informed at last month’s Cappamore-Kilmallock area meeting that funding was approved under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme to redevelop the building as an e-hub.
However, according to Regeneration Officer Karen Burke, initial research has indicated the development of an e-hub at this location may not be viable.
She says the council is exploring “all avenues to bring the former Bank of Ireland into a active use and will also continue to engage with the elected members and the community of Bruff on progress made in this regard”.
