GARDAÍ in Limerick are investigating after reported incidents of public order and reckless endangerment in the city yesterday (Tuesday April 30).
According to a statement from Gardaí, an altercation broke out between a number of individuals on Hyde Road, which led to a man being struck by a car.
The man is believed to have been hit by the car shortly after 5pm on Tuesday, and later presented to University Hospital Limerick with non-life threatening injuries.
The car failed to remain at the scene following the collision, Gardaí said.
No other injuries have been reported from the incident.
Gardaí in Limerick have appealed for any witnesses who were in the Hyde Road area between 5pm and 5.30pm on Tuesday, and who saw the incident, to come forward. They are also looking for information on a grey Nissan Qashqai that was in the area at the time.
Investigating Gardaí have also appealed to road users who may have footage (including dashcam footage) to make it available to officers as part of their investigations.
