OVER 50 teams participated in Limerick’s Fittest Superstars competition, hosted by Davy Fitzgerald at Mungret St. Paul’s GAA Club.
The event was staged across an entire day, with six teams making it through to the knock-out stage.
On the winners’ podium late in the evening were Mullins Energy Electrical Limerick, led by Mike Mullins. The team received a prize of €1,000, which was donated to Milford Care Centre.
In the runners-up spot were a side captained by Eoin O’Doherty (Limerick Sports and Fitness Clinic) while third place was secured by Liam Harrington (Chesser Auctioneers).
The club was indebted to an array of sponsors, and the coordination of stalwart Kieran O’Brien.
There is the likelihood of an individual element to the competition next year.
