CHISOM Ugwueru grabbed a hat-trick of tries as UL Bohemian toppled Railway Union 48-38 in a lavishly entertaining Energia All-Ireland League Women’s Final at the Aviva Stadium.
There were also tries from Aoife O’Shaughnessy, Éabha Nic Dhonnacha, Aoife Corey (2), and Brianna Heylmann, while 20-year-old Kate Flannery was solid on kicking duties.
Fiona Hayes’ side were just 22-21 ahead at the interval.
Ugwueru and Flannery are both serious Ireland prospects.
UL Bohs had earlier in the season won the Cup, again beating Railway in the decider, making this a double for the side.
