10,000 PEOPLE die each year in Ireland due to heart disease, with as much as 80 per cent of these deaths being completely preventable.

That’s according to those at the Lifeline Cardiology Clinic, who are running a free blood pressure check camp at the Crescent Shopping Centre this Saturday (April 27), from 11am to 3pm.

According to the Lifeline Cardiology Clinic, the event is non-profit but will accept donations which will go towards supporting the Irish Heart Foundation.

The free blood pressure clinic is part of a public awareness clinic and encourages everyone in Limerick to come out for a check.
