GARDAÍ said that for “operational reasons” they were not disclosing details of a post mortem conducted on the body of a man discovered at a property on the outskirts of Limerick City last weekend.
The man’s body was discovered at a residential premises in the Singland, Ballysimon area, last Sunday afternoon (April 21).
The man is understood to have been in his 50s.
When asked for details, a Garda spokeswoman replied that “Gardaí received a report, and attended the scene of the discovery of the body of a man, the body has since been removed from the scene to the mortuary at University Hospital Limerick”.
“A post-mortem examination has been conducted, the results of which will not be disclosed for operational reasons.”
The spokeswoman said that a Garda file has been prepared for the Coroner and their “investigations are ongoing”.
