Garryowen moved a step closer to a return to Division 1A of the All-Ireland League with an impressive 32-21 win at Old Wesley, and will now host Old Belvedere in the promotion play-off final at Dooradoyle on Saturday (2.30pm).

In Dublin, the visitors secured tries through Max Clein (2), Gordon Wood, Oran McNulty, and Jack Delaney, which Kelvin Langan and Jack Oliver were on cue from kicking duties.

Shannon have been relegated from the top-tier after a heavy 46-8 home defeat to Old Belvedere.

Elsewhere, in the 2A promotion/relegation final, UL Bohemian will have home advantage on College Corinthians. At the weekend, a late try by Ihechi Oji, which Harry Byrne converted, earned UL Bohs a slender 13-12 win against Sligo at Annacotty.

Meanwhile, Bohs will aim to complete the League/Cup double at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday.
