FINE Gael councillor Liam Galvin has called for a handrail to be placed at the entrance to the greenway off Galvin’s Road in Templeglantine.
Responding to Cllr Galvin at this month’s Newcastle West area meeting, Limerick City and County Council Director of Service Gordon Daly said that the local authority has had safety audits carried out on all the access points on the Limerick Greenway.
“This location was highlighted in the report as not meeting required standards and therefore is to be closed,” Mr Daly explained.
