OLD Christians GAA Club, in conjunction with Rathbane Residents Association and Janesboro Tidy Towns group, are hosting a major Team Limerick Clean-Up (TLC) event in their grounds this Good Friday (March 29).

The event will be launched by TLC founding members JP McManus and Paul O’Connell tomorrow morning (Friday) at 9.45am.

Following the launch, those in attendance will head out and take part in the annual event, now in its ninth year.

The groups will then head back to Old Christians for music and refreshments for both adults and children.

Organisers say locals to the area are welcome to Rathbane for the event and to take part in the clean-up. There will also be a number of special guests at the event on the day.

TLC is Ireland’s largest one-day clean-up attracting close to 20,000 volunteers in Limerick city and county who come out in force on Good Friday each year to tidy and pick up litter in their local community.

The TLC initiative was founded by JP McManus, Paul O’Connell, and Helen O’Donnell in 2015 and is spearheaded by Limerick City and County Council.
