LIMERICK will see some of Europe’s top drifters descend on the Treaty county in May after the announcement that the first ever Red Bull Drift Pursuit competition will be held in Limerick Greyhound Stadium.
The competition will see some of Europe’s top drift drivers battle it out to test their accuracy, control and and speed of each driver on the circuit.
The event will take place over two days, May 18 and 19, and will see drivers go head-to-head in qualifiers which will see the drivers judged on their course time, clipping points, and penalties for any infringements.
Day two will see the drivers who made it through the first day compete in a knockout round, vying to impress the judges enough to be crowned Red Bull Drift Pursuit champion.
Red Bull Motorsports currently sponsors a number of professional drift drivers, including Corkman Conor Shanahan, who won the Drift Masters European Championship competition in 2023.
The event will run form 7pm to approximately 9.30pm on May 18 and 19, and tickets are available from redbull.ie/driftpursuit.
