THE CRAFT Maker Space at Mary Immaculate College (MIC) has secured €193,532 in funding from the SFI Programme.
The programme aims to increase public understanding about the impact of STEAM on society.
The funding will allow the CRAFT Maker Space to become a leading hub in the Mid West for STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and maths) and will aim to get the general public engaged.
Dr Eleanor Walsh, acting director of enterprise and community engagement at MIC, said the funding “will allow us to realise our ambitious plans for even greater engagement with schools, teachers, children, families and the wider public”.
