CHILDREN in Hospital Ireland is looking for Limerick locals to join its volunteer play team at University Hospital Limerick and help support children and their families during their hospital visit.

Volunteers help create a sense of fun during a very distressing time and give parents a break.

There are volunteering opportunities in the emergency department in the evenings and the playroom on weekends.

Anyone above the age of 18 can apply and no experience is necessary as training is provided.

The role requires volunteers to dedicate two hours once a week, during which they will have the opportunity to engage in activities such as arts and crafts, board and card games, and more.
