Limerick pupils show creative side in Fairtrade Schools Poster Competition

This year’s campaign, running from March 4 to 17, aims to shed local light on the impact of climate change.

LIMERICK school pupils exercised their creative sides in the annual Limerick Fairtrade Schools’ Poster competition.

Salva Rezaeizadeh (Castletroy College), Catherine Payyapilly (Our Lady of Lourdes PS), and Sofia Boklach (Corpus Christi NS) were the winners of this year’s competition.

News of the winners comes as Fairtrade Limerick kicked off its annual Fairtrade Fortnight.

This year’s campaign, running from March 4 to 17, aims to shed local light on the impact of climate change on farmer producers and workers in the developing world, with a number of events organised to help raise awareness around the benefits and impact of purchasing Fairtrade products.
