Munster Primary Game Returns

Limerick’s Colin Coughlan and Laura Fennelly, along with Cork pair Eimear Kiely and Cliona Healy have launched the 2024 Munster Primary Game.

RISING Limerick hurling star Colin Coughlan and county camogie captain Laura Fennelly have helped launch the 2024 Munster Primary Game Series.

Championship days in Munster hurling, camogie or football, would not be complete without the exhibition games provided by boys and girls from the competing counties.

Games will be played at half-time during each senior match in the Munster Championships.

Around 500 children, who in the past included the likes of Limerick trio Declan Hannon, Nickie Quaid and Rebecca Delee, will be involved across the Series.

“The emphasis in the Primary Game is on participation, enjoyment and making new friends,” said Ger Ryan, Chairman of the Munster Council.

Dave Collins, Chairman of Munster Cumann na mBunscol, added: “This year’s Munster GAA Primary Game promise to be very exciting for all the children. Activities such as these are the lifeblood of our games.”
