SEVERAL camogie ties are pencilled-in as curtain-raisers to upcoming Munster Senior Hurling Championship fixtures.
One of these is Limerick v Waterford which will throw-in ahead of Limerick and Tipperary on Sunday, April 28 at the Gaelic Grounds.
Limerick are managed by two-time All-Star hurling goalkeeper Joe Quaid and are unbeaten after a couple of rounds in the National League.
Munster GAA Chairman Ger Ryan said: “I am delighted that once again a number of Camogie games will be played as part of our Munster Championship programme of games in the coming months.
“The addition of several Camogie and Ladies Football games as curtain-raisers to our Munster Senior Hurling and Football Championship games has worked very well in recent years and I have no doubt the inclusion of further games this year will continue to enhance the bond between our respective bodies as we strive towards integration in 2027,” Mr Ryan said.
Munster Camogie Chairperson Christine Ryan added: “Munster Council Camogie are once again delighted that Munster GAA are providing us with Double headers for our Munster Senior Camogie Championship for 2024. This will add to the profile of our game as it is a huge boost for our Camogie Players. We at Munster Camogie appreciate this opportunity that Munster GAA have given us.”
