FINE Gael councillor Liam Galvin has called on Limerick City and County Council to place a light on the ESB pole provided at the top of the new Holy Cross graveyard in Athea.
Cllr Galvin was informed at a recent Newcastle West area meeting that the local authority will investigate the possibility.
“There are access issues for future maintenance if a light is to be placed on the ESB pole,” said senior council engineer Aidan Finn.
“Alternative solutions are being investigated in the vicinity of the ESB pole,” he added.
