FINE Gael councillor and Deputy Mayor of Limerick City and County Dan McSweeney asked the council for an update on the proposed safety interventions proposed at Patrickswell National School.
The Deputy Mayor was informed by the council that the National Transport Authority (NTA) has confirmed that it is agreeable with progressing with safety interventions at Patrickswell National School as a project.
Active Travel also confirmed the preliminary design with the NTA, which is currently undergoing a road safety audit.
Construction is expected to commence during the summer.
